Patricia McGregor

Born in St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands, Patricia McGregor (she/her) is the Artistic Director of New York Theatre Workshop, at which she recently co-wrote and directed the NYC premiere of Lights Out: Nat King Cole. Other directing credits include The Refuge Plays (Roundabout, NYTW); The Last of the Love Letters (Atlantic); Ugly Lies the Bone (Roundabout); Blood Dazzler (Harlem Stage); Sisters in Law (Wallis); Shakespeare: Call and Response, Krapp’s Last Tape, What You Are, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and Measure for Measure (Old Globe); Skeleton Crew (Geffen); Hamlet (Public); The Parchman Hour (Guthrie); brownsville song (LCT); Indomitable: James Brown (Apollo Theater); and the world premiere of Hurt Village (Signature). Co-founder of Angela’s Pulse with her sister, Paloma McGregor. Graduate of SMU (Presidential Scholar) and the Yale School of Drama (Paul and Daisy Soros Fellow).
