Artist Bio
Nancy Voigts
(Bio as of November 2004)
Nancy Voigts most recently appeared at the Goodman in her fifth production of A Christmas Carol during the 2004/2005 Season. Some of her other Chicago credits include the roles of Cinderella in Ms. Cinderella, Audrey in Little Shop of Horrors and Prudie in Pump Boys and Dinettes at Marriott’s Lincolnshire Theater; Smitty in How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, Cleo in The Most Happy Fella, Oolie/Donna in City of Angels, Joan in Dames at Sea and Gloria Thorpe in Damn Yankees at the Drury Lane/Oakbrook Theater; Bianca in The Taming of the Shrew at Chicago Shakespeare; Rita in Cowgirls at Northlight Theater, and as one of the “moms” in Mom’s the Word at the Royal George. She has also received two Jeff Awards for her work in the revues Puttin’ on the Ritz and Falling in Love with Love at the National Jewish Theater. In addition, she can be heard on both Second City Divas CDs.
