Michael Dean is a Chicago-based writer, originally from Metro Detroit. In their work, Michael utilizes language, lyric and form to explore the everyday surrealism of our world. Their work has appeared, or is forthcoming, in RHINO Poetry, Hooligan Magazine, Poetry East, and elsewhere. Michael is a founding member of the Family Resemblance performance series, a collaborator with Exhibit B: A Literary Variety Show. They earned their MFA in Creative Writing and Publishing from DePaul University.
