Artist Bio
Michael Arnold
(Bio as of June 2003)
Michael Arnold most recently collaborated with the Goodman on Bounce during the 2002/2003 Season. He choreographed Flight of the Lawnchair Man, part of the musical 3hree directed by Harold Prince, which played the Prince Music Theater in Philadelphia and the Ahmanson in Los Angeles (Ovation Award nomination for Best Choreography). Off-Broadway he choreographed Songs for a New World, directed by Daisy Prince; The Matchmaker and The Rothschilds, directed by Lonny Price. As a performer, Mr. Arnold received the Astaire Award for Best Male Dancer as Andy Lee in the Broadway revival of 42nd Street. Other Broadway formances include Kiss Me, Kate; Cabaret; Little Chicago; Tommy; Guys and Dolls; Cats; and A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum. National tours include Tommy (Jeff Award nomination) and Martin Guerre (Ovation Award nomination and Helen Hayes Award nomination). He can be heard on the cast recordings of 42nd Street, Little Me and Tommy and seen on P.B.S. as Michael Dane in Broadway Workshop.
