Artist Bio
Matthew R. Dwyer
(Bio as of October 2013)
Matthew R. Dwyer makes his Goodman debut. He has recently appeared at Ravinia with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra’s production of Howard Shore’s score to Lord of the Rings: Two Towers. Other recent performances include Benjamin Britten’s War Requiem with the Grant Park Orchestra; Puccini’s La Bohème at Lyric Opera of Chicago; Whistle Down the Wind at Jedlicka Performing Arts Center; and the role of Little Ricky in Axelrod’s The Seven Year Itch with the Beverly Theatre Guild, among others. Mr. Dwyer has studied at The Second City Training Center and Acting Studio Chicago. He studies drama, French and Mandarin at Morgan Park Academy in Chicago where he enjoys playing soccer and the cornet. When he is not training, rehearsing or performing, he enjoys singing with Chicago Children’s Choir and playing lacrosse.
