Artist Bio

Mark LaRoque (White Earth Band of Ojibwe) was born in White Earth Minnesota in the Naytawaush Village. He relates some of his village experiences through poem and stories. He started writing at 16 and received tutelage in presentation from his mentor Eddie Two Rivers. He continues to write with nature imbedded into the characters and scenes of his life experiences. His goal is to complete a book of poetry and stories in 2023.
