Artist Bio
Marisabel Suarez
(Bio as of June 2004)
Marisabel Suarez most recently appeared at the Goodman in Electricidad during the 2003/2004 Season. Other Goodman credits include The Maria Chronicles for the 2003 Latino Theater Festival. She is a Cuban American actress born in Miami, Florida, and is a founding member of Teatro Luna, Chicago’s first and only all-Latina theater company. Her Teatro Luna credits include Probadita, Mas Probadita at Victory Gardens; Generic Latina, the Chicago staging of Dejame Contarte at Gallery 37; and Kita y Fernanda by Chicago writer Tanya Saracho. Other Chicago credits include Our Lady of 121st Street with Steppenwolf directed by Will Frears, Empty Chalices with Teatro Aguijón; and Black Butterfly, Jaguar Girl, Piñata Woman and Other Super Hero Girls, Like Me with Teatro Vista at the Chicago Humanities Festival.
