Artist Bio
Lyle Kanouse
(Bio as of September 2005)
Lyle Kanouse most recently appeared at the Goodman in Purlie during the 2005/2006 Season. Broadway credits include a 2004 Tony Award honor for his roles of Pap and King in the revival of Big River, City of Angels, Chaplin and The Miser. His National Tours include Guys and Dolls, Chess, 1776, The Unsinkable Molly Brown, City of Angels, Jesus Christ Superstar, Crazy For You, South Pacific, Oklahoma! and Fiddler on the Roof. Mr. Kanouse has appeared in numerous regional theater productions at Actor’s Theatre of Louisville, Denver Center, Dallas Theatre Center, the Ahmanson, Mark Taper Forum and the Dorothy Chandler Pavillion. His 44 film credits include Mr. Woodcock, Auto Focus, Laurel Canyon, Whipped, Love Object, Temptation, Kate’s Addiction and over 100 TV episodes including recent appearances on Numbers, Gilmore Girls, Strong Medicine, E.R., My Wife and Kids and as the controversial King Baby, “CEO in the diaper,” on CSI.
