Artist Bio
Lorena Íñiguez
(Bio as of July 2021)
Lorena Íñiguez (Dancer, Guitar and Percussion) is an active dancer and musical performer born and raised in Chicago. In 1990, she joined The Mexican Folkloric Dance Co. of Chicago and became a principal dancer. She attended NEIU on a dance scholarship with Ensemble Español and performed as a company member for three years. She joined Sones de México Ensemble in 2003 as a multi-instrumentalist musician and dancer, and has since performed more than 1,000 shows, recorded four albums, received two Grammy Award nominations and won four Chicago Music Awards.
