Artist Bio
Lauren Klein
(Bio as of November 2001)
Lauren Klein most recently appeared at the Goodman in Big Love during the 2001/2002 Season. She has been a continuing part of the Big Love ensemble since its premiere at the Humana Festival 2000 in Louisville. Her Broadway credits are Lost in Yonkers and Broken Glass (original cast member of both); national tours include Broadway Bound and I’m Not Rappaport; and off-Broadway credits are Death Defying Acts, What’s Wrong with This Picture? and Passion Play. Ms. Klein’s regional credits include Denial (Pope Theatre), for which she won the Carbonell/Best Actress Award in 1997; The Last Night of Ballyhoo and Harvey (Cleveland Play House); Nine Armenians (Intiman Theatre); and Hay Fever, Another Part of the Forest and History of the American Film at San Francisco’s A.C.T. while a member of their conservatory and acting company. Film and television credits include A Price Above Rubies, Snooze (best actress in a short, NYIIVFF), 100 Centre Street and the recurring role of Judge Carla Solomon on Law & Order. Ms. Klein holds an MFA from A.C.T. and a BFA summa cum laude from the College of Santa Fe.
