Artist Bio
Kelli O’Hara
(Bio as of January 2004)
Kelli O’Hara most recently appeared at the Goodman in The Light in the Piazza during the 2003/2004 Season. She also created the role of Franca in The Light in the Piazza at The Sundance Theatre Lab and at the Intiman Theatre in Seattle. Broadway credits include Susan Hunsecker opposite John Lithgow in The Sweet Smell of Success; Young Phyllis in Sondheim’s Follies, and Kate in Jekyll & Hyde. Off-Broadway/regional credits include Albertine in Richard Nelson and Ricky Ian Gordan’s My Life With Albertine (cast recording) at Playwrights Horizons; and Rose in Tina Landau’s Beauty at the La Jolla Playhouse. Upcoming films include Liz in Craig Lucas’ The Dying Gaul. Ms. O’Hara has sung in concerts at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Town Hall, the Guggenheim Museum, and at benefits for Playwrights Horizons, the Classic Stage Company and the Keen Theatre Company. She has a vocal performance/opera degree and won the State Metropolitan Opera Auditions. She also studied at the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute in New York City.
