Artist Bio
Kati Brazda
(Bio as of March 2005)
Kati Brazda most recently appeared at the Goodman in The Story during the 2004/2005 Season. Other Goodman credits include Nurse in The Death of Bessie Smith, directed by Chuck Smith, and Cordelia in Finding the Sun, directed by Eric Rosen. Recent credits include orginating the role of Sarah Schorr in Joanna McClelland Glass’s Trying, both off-Broadway at the Promenade Theatre and at Victory Gardens Theatre directed by Sandy Shinner (Jeff nomination for actress in a principal role). Other Chicago credits include Diane in The Action Against Sol Schumann with Victory Gardens, Isobel in The Secret Rapture with Remy Bumppo (After Dark Award for outstanding performance), Tulsa Lovechild in The Life and Times of Tulsa Lovechild: A Roadtrip with Collaboraction (Jeff Citations for actress in a leading role and ensemble), as well as performing with Court Theatre, Steppenwolf, About Face, Next Theatre, Lookingglass, Famous Door, Organic Theatre, Seanachai, Defiant Theatre and Nebraska Shakespeare Festival. Ms. Brazda is the recipient of the 2004 Sarah Siddons Society’s Chicago’s Leading Lady Award.
