Karen Marcial (U/S Tia Carmen) was born in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico and raised in Chicago. She began her musical journey in the Back of the Yards neighborhood when she joined the children’s choir and youth mariachi group of her local parish. She is currently a member of Sones de Mexico Ensemble.
