Artist Bio
Karan Kendrick
(Bio as of March 2004)
Karan Kendrick most recently appeared at the Goodman in Crowns during the 2003/2004 Season. She is a native of Fort Valley, Georgia, and is thrilled to make her Goodman Theatre debut in Crowns. Her other credits include Saint Lucy’s Eyes (Woman), A Christmas Carol (Fan/Martha), Androcles and the Lion (Movement Consultant) and Letters to Harriet Tubman (Harriet) at Alliance Theatre in Atlanta. She has also been seen in The School for Wives (Agnes), Much Ado About Nothing (Margaret) and The Tale of Cymbeline (Helen) at Georgia Shakespeare Festival and Black Nativity (Angel/Ensemble) with Jomandi Productions. Other regional theater credits include For Colored Girls… (Lady in Green) at Portland Center Stage and Once On This Island (TiMoune) at Memphis Black Rep. She has a B.A. in Drama/Dance from Spelman College. Honors and awards include Janet Jackson/Rhythm Nation Scholar, Mary Shy Scott Fine Arts Award and Trailblazer in the Arts Award.
