Artist Bio
Julia Zayas-Meléndez

Julia Zayas-Meléndez has worked with many theaters in Chicago including Writers Theatre, First Folio Theatre, The Second City, Paramount Theatre, Windy City Playhouse, Porchlight Music Theatre, Oak Park Festival Theatre, Route 66, Marriott Theatre, Drury Lane Theatre, Fox Valley Repertory, Apple Tree Theatre, About Face Theatre, Chicago Dramatists, Steppenwolf Theatre Company, Remy Bumppo Theatre Company, Next Theatre, Court Theatre, Madison Repertory Theatre and Theater at the Center. A graduate of Emerson College in Boston, she began her stage management career in Massachusetts, with companies like Opera Boston, Boston Theatre Works, The Theatre Offensive, Commonwealth Shakespeare Company, SpeakEasy Stage and Shakespeare & Company. She took the acclaimed Route 66 production of A Twist of Water off-Broadway in 2012 and celebrated World Theatre Day 2009 in Konya, Turkey with ShawChicago. She is also the owner of a small business – Crafty Broads. Craftybroads.com
