Artist Bio
Joaquín Torres
(Bio as of September 2007)
Joaquín Torres most recently appeared at the Goodman in Passion Play: a cycle in three parts during the 2007/2008 Season. Mr. Torres has also appeared at the Goodman as Edgar in King Lear (directed by Robert Falls). New York theater credits include King Lear (directed by James Lapine, Public Theater); Beauty of the Father (directed by Michael Greif, Manhattan Theatre Club); Twilight: Los Angeles, 1992 (directed by Liz Diamond, Lincoln Center Institute); The Winter’s Tale (directed by Barry Edelstein, CSC); and Tooth and Claw (Ensemble Studio Theatre). Regional credits include Our Town (directed by Bartlett Sher, Intiman Theatre); Much Ado About Nothing (directed by Peter Dubois, California Shakespeare Festival); and Yemaya’s Belly (Portland Stage, world premiere). Film and television credits include Finding Sight and Sweet Home (directed by John Fiorelli); Third Watch (NBC), Law & Order: Criminal Intent (NBC) and One Life to Live (ABC). He received his training from New York University’s Graduate Acting Program.
