Artist Bio
Jayson Brooks
(Bio as of June 2021)
Jayson Brooks (Pete/Rah/Wash) is a multiple time Jeff Award-nominated actor and musician making his Goodman Theatre debut. Chicago performance credits include Dessa Rose and Passing Strange (Bailiwick Chicago); Once on This Island, A Wonderful Life and Ragtime (Porchlight Music Theatre). He most recently appeared in Roundabout Theatre Company’s production of Spunk. He performs with some of Chicago’s best musicians in an eponymous project, formerly The Uptown Sound. He has toured the US and Europe with his work and was appointed as a cultural ambassador to Italy. He is a former governor of the Midwest chapter of The Recording Academy.
