Artist Bio
Ira Carol McGill
(Bio as of April 2001)
Ira Carol McGill most recently appeared at the Goodman in The Amen Corner during the 2000/2001 Season. Her Chicago credits include To Kill a Mockingbird at Apple Tree Theatre for Young Audiences, Congo Square Theatre Company’s Before It Hits Home, Theatre at the Center’s production of Neil Simon’s Proposals, ETA’s The Fable of the Grandmama Tree, CTC’s Having Our Say, Pegasus Players’ Mississippi vs. Emmett Till, Oak Park Village Players’ Working, the Village Theatre’s 1940s Radio Hour and Marriott Theatre in Lincolnshire’s Finian’s Rainbow and Queen of the Stardust Ballroom. In her earlier years, she was a professional dancer and independent choreographer. Ira is a wife, mother, visual artist and teacher, and has her master of arts degree in dance/movement therapy.
