Artist Bio
Howell Binkley
(Bio as of June 2003)
Howell Binkley most recently collaborated with the Goodman on Bounce during the 2002/2003 Season. Broadway credits include Hollywood Arms, The Full Monty (Drama Desk nomination), Gore Vidal’s The Best Man, Minnelli on Minnelli, Parade (Drama Desk nomination), Kiss of the Spiderwoman (Tony nomination), My Thing of Love, Sacrilege, Taking Sides, High Society, How To Succceed Business and Grease. His numerous regional theater credits include productions at A.R.T., the Alley Theatre, McCarter Theatre, La Jolla Playhouse, Shakespeare Theatre D.C., Old Globe, the Guthrie, Hartford Stage, George Street Playhouse, Mark Taper Forum, New York Shakespeare Festival; and Batboy, The Musical; Cirque Ingenieux and Civil War for Networks. His work in dance and opera includes American Ballet Theater, Hubbard Street Dance, Parsons Dance Company (co-founder), Joffrey Ballet Billboards, Houston Ballet and Metropolitan Opera. His awards include the 1993 Sir Laurence Olivier Award and Canadian Dora Award for Kiss of the Spider Woman; and the 1991, 1993, 1995 and 1998 Helen Hayes Awards.
