Artist Bio
Harrison White
(Bio as of September 2005)
Harrison White most recently appeared at the Goodman in Purlie during the 2005/2006 Season. Broadway/London credits include The Lion King, Sarafina (1991 Drama Logue Award, N.A.A.C.P. Image Award) and Smokey Joe’s Cafe (Laurence Olivier Award nomination). Off-Broadway credits include A Good Swift Kick, Romance in Hard Tmes and a West Coast tour of Dreamgirls (with Frenchie Davis). Regional credits include Purlie at Pasadena Playhouse; Starmites (pre-Broadway engagement) at Milford Playhouse; Ain’t Misbehavin’ (25th anniversary production directed by Ken Page) at South Bay Cities CLO; and Five Guys Named Moe and Once On This Island (Ovation Award nomination) at La Mirada Perfoming Arts Center. Film credits include I Got the Hook-Up, Seven and Doom Asylum. Mr. White’s recording credits include The Wild with Eric Idol, Tears of the Sun, The Power of One and Sarafina.
