Artist Bio
Gavin Creel
(Bio as of June 2003)
Gavin Creel most recently appeared at the Goodman in Bounce during the 2002/2003 Season. He received a 2002 Tony nomination for his portrayal of Jimmy Smith in the musical Thoroughly Modern Millie. He has appeared in the off-Broadway cult favorite Bat Boy as Rick/Lorraine, and was in the City Center Encores! production of Hair. A BFA graduate of the University of Michigan, Creel also starred in the American premiere of Honk! and toured the nation in Fame as Nick. His television credits include Eloise at the Plaza and the upcoming Eloise at Christmastime, both starring Julie Andrews. Creel sings with the Broadway Inspirational Voices and is currently writing songs for his forthcoming album, 95th Avenue North.
