Fran Alvarez Jara

(Bio as of June 2026)
After a restless adolescence spent searching for an activity that could channel his energy, Fran discovered circus at the age of 16. Two years later, he began his professional training at Carampa, Madrid’s preparatory circus school, before continuing his studies at the Ecole Supérieure des Arts du Cirque (ESAC) in Brussels. Driven by an obsession with technique and the idea of becoming a real “human trampoline”, he continued his training in France with various structures and collectives specialising in high-level acrobatics. Specialising in hand-to-hand and group acrobatics, Fran enjoys being on stage and using his acrobatic skills to support both the performance and the people he works with. He has taken part in numerous creations and productions presented around the world. Today, all that restless energy seems to have settled down: when he is not training or performing, Fran divides his time between Olympic weightlifting, specialty coffee, and books that are far too long.
