Artist Bio
Faran Tahir
(Bio as of July 2007)
Faran Tahir most recently appeared at the Goodman in Mirror of the Invisible World during the 2006/2007 Season. He was last seen at Goodman Theatre in the original production of Mirror of the Invisible World in 1997. He also appeared in Mary Zimmerman’s production of Arabian Nights at Manhattan Theatre Club. Other theater credits include Nirad Das in the East Coast premiere of Tom Stoppard’s Indian Ink (Best Actor nomination, Helen Hayes Award) at Studio Theatre; Macbeth and the premiere of L.A. Plays at American Repertory Theatre; Aram Tomasian in Beast on the Moon (original production) and Ganesh in A Perfect Ganesh at Actor’s Theatre of Louisville; Oberon/Theseus in A Midsummer Night’s Dream at the Commonwealth Shakespeare Comany; and title roles in Phaedo at Berkeley Repertory Theatre and Man Friday at Sacramento Theatre Co. Mr. Tahir can be seen in three upcoming films, including Iron Man as Iron Man’s nemesis, Ashes as a manic depressive, and as an army general in Charlie Wilson’s War. Other film credits include ABCD (Best Actor nomination, MethodFest Film Festival), Jungle Book and A Price above Rubies. He has appeared in more than 35 television shows including 24, Cold Case, Sleeper Cell, Charmed, JAG, NCIS, Alias, NYPD Blue, West Wing, Law and Order, Monk and Agency.
