Artist Bio

Diane DiVita most recently collaborated with the Goodman on King Hedley II during the 2000/2001 Season. She recently com­pleted the Hal David/Burt Bacharach New York Workshop with Scott Ellis and was associated with the Westport Playhouse’s new musical Nicolette and Au­cassin. Other credits include the first two produc­tions of King Hedley II, August Wilson’s Jitney, Cheryl West’s Jar the Floor and Thunder Knocking on the Door, all with Marion McClinton. Broadway credits include The Sound of Music, How to Succeed in Busi­ness Without Really Trying, Dream and Arthur Miller’s Broken Glass. Off-Broadway, she has worked on Nine Armenians, Arthur Miller’s Last Yankee, Charlayne Woodward’s Pretty Fire and Mary Zimmerman’s Arabian Nights at the Manhattan Theatre Club. She has worked regionally at the Guthrie The­atre, Long Wharf Theatre, Arena Stage, Seattle Reper­tory Theatre, Pittsburgh Public Theatre, Mark Taper Forum, Old Globe Theatre and Denver Center The­atre Company, in addition to international touring throughout Europe, Eastern Europe and China. She is currently a lecturer at Yale School of Drama.
