Artist Bio
Derek Gaspar
(Bio as of October 2011)
Derek Gaspar most recently appeared at the Goodman in Chicago Boys during the 2011/2012 Season. Previous Chicago credits include Waiting for Lefty at American Blues Theater; The Lion in Winter and Paragon Springs at TimeLine Theatre Company; As Fat as You Can at Next Theatre Company; Nana at Trap Door Theatre; Antigone and The Lady from the Sea at Greasy Joan & Co.; Three Days of Rain and The Pool of Bethesda with Uma Productions; understudy roles in The Romance Cycle at Court Theatre; and A Girl With Sun in Her Eyes at Pine Box Theater. Mr. Gaspar holds an MFA from The Theatre School at DePaul University where he originated the role of Marc in the 2011 world premiere of Carlos Murillo’s Mayday Mayday Tuesday, directed by Dexter Bullard.
