Artist Bio
Christina Ernst
(Bio as of May 2007)
Christina Ernst most recently collaborated with the Goodman on Oedipus Complex during the 2006/2007 Season. Originally from Switzerland, Ms. Ernst has been active in the American dance scene as a choreographer, performer, and teacher since 1977. She has developed choreography for many dance companies in addition to working with the Chicago Opera Theater and Next Theater Company. She has received numerous grants for her choreography and won the Seven States Choreography Competition. She was co-director of ernst-watson dance, a contemporary company that toured internationally and a member of Chicago Repertory Dance Ensemble among other companies. Ms. Ernst is on the faculty of Evanston Township High School and Dance Center Evanston and associate artistic director of Evanston Dance Ensemble.
