Artist Bio
Cedric Mays
(Bio as of April 2012)
Cedric Mays most recently appeared at the Goodman in Fish Men during the 2011/2012 Season. He is the founder and artistic director of Onus Theatre Company, a newly formed Chicago-based company. Most recently, Onus Theatre Company produced a reading of The American Nightmare by Phillip Hayes Dean. As a writer, Mr. Mays has completed two original dramas and one adaptation. The most current of his plays, Mutha/Fucka In The Holy City, will be produced by Onus Theatre Company later this year, as will his adaptation Moontower inspired by the black American folktale “The Beautiful Girl of the Moontower.”
