Caryn Klein

Caryn Klein (Associate Costume Designer) has been part of the Chicago costume community for 35 years, having started as a freelance costume designer. In 1993, Klein opened and operated Costume Exchange Inc., a studio specializing in building custom costumes for theater, opera and ballet; in 2002, Costume Exchange Inc. merged with Steppenwolf Theatre Company and Klein became Steppenwolf’s costume director for all Steppenwolf productions while continuing to work on outside projects. Valued clients include: The Lyric Opera of Chicago, Joffrey Ballet, Chicago Shakespeare Theater and Troika Entertainment.
