Artist Bio
Carolyn Baeumler
(Bio as of November 2001)
Carolyn Baeumler most recently appeared at the Goodman in Big Love during the 2001/2002 Season. She was also seen as Lydia in Big Love at Berkeley Repertory, Long Wharf Theatre and the Humana Festival premiere at Actors Theatre of Louisville. In Chicago she appeared in A Clockwork Orange, directed by Terry Kinney at Steppenwolf. Her recent off-Broadway credits include Mae West in West’s play Sex for the Hourglass Group, In Betweens at the Cherry Lane Theatre, and Courtney Love in Love in the Void. She understudied both Blanche and Stella in New York Theatre Workshop’s production of A Streetcar Named Desire, directed by Ivo Vov Hove. Regionally she appeared as Marilyn Monroe at A Contemporary Theatre in Miss Golden Dreams and in Life Under 30 at Actors Theatre of Louisville. Recent film credits include Happy Anniversary Harry, Shipping and Handling and Gypsy 83. She is a founding member of the Hourglass Group, which produced Sex and A Usual Suspect at New York Theatre Workshop.
