Carlos Cruz has been an actor with Teatro Buendía since it was founded in 1986. His Teatro Buendía credits include Las perlas de tu boca, Las ruinas circulares, La candida Erendira, Otra Tempestad, La vida en rosa, Bacantes, Historia de un caballo, Charenton, Woyzeck, La visita de la Vieja Dama and Bodas de sangre. He received the Male Actor Award from the National Cuban Writers and Artists Union (UNEAC).
