Artist Bio
Antwayn Hopper
(Bio as of March 2012)
Antwayn Hopper most recently appeared at the Goodman in Camino Real during the 2011/2012 Season. His New York credits include Hair on Broadway; the premiere of Lesser Mercies with Exit, Pursued by a Bear; Yeast Nation (the triumph of life) at the New York International Fringe Festival; Show Boat in concert at Carnegie Hall, Roller Derby at the New York Musical Theatre Festival and readings or workshops at Roundabout Theatre Company, New York Stage and Film and the York Theatre Company. Select regional credits include the world premiere of Whoopi Goldberg’s White Noise at Le Petit Théâtre du Vieux Carré in New Orleans; Rent at Syracuse Stage; Porgy and Bess in concert with the Cincinnati Pops Orchestra; Irving Berlin’s White Christmas at Denver Center Theatre Company and The Who’s Tommy at Dallas Theater Center. Mr. Hopper’s film credits include the forthcoming Imogene, opposite Kristen Wiig, and he has appeared on television in A Gifted Man (CBS) and Bored to Death (HBO). He holds a BFA from Carnegie Mellon University.
