Artist Bio
Alyssa Bresnahan
(Bio as of May 2004)
Alyssa Bresnahan most recently appeared at the Goodman in Heartbreak House during the 2003/2004 Season. Previous Goodman credits include The Rose Tattoo. She most recently appeared in the title role of Antigone at South Coast Rep. She has appeared in New York as Lady Macbeth in Macbeth at the Classic Stage Company, Iphegenia in Iphegenia in Taurus at La MaMa, and Madeline in The Clearing at Blue Light Theatre and as Jalena in Necessary Targets at Variety Arts Theatre. At the Hartford Stage she appeared as Maxine in The Night of the Iguana and Stella in A Streetcar Named Desire. Other theater credits include Three Days of Rain at the Westport Playhouse and Tantalus at the Denver Theatre Center, UK tour and Barbican Theatre, London. Film and television appearances include an American Masters biography of Arthur Miller including scenes from The Crucible (as Elizabeth Proctor), a BBC TV series, Playing Shakespeare (opposite Kevin Kline) and a recent guest star role on Law & Order.
