Artist Bio
Allen Moyer
(Bio as of September 2007)
Allen Moyer most recently collaborated with the Goodman on Passion Play: a cycle in three parts during the 2007/2008 Season. Broadway credits include Grey Gardens (Tony Award nomination, Henry Hewes Award), The Little Dog Laughed, The Constant Wife, Twelve Angry Men (also current National Tour), In My Life, Reckless, The Man Who Had All The Luck, A Thousand Clowns. Off-Broadway credits include Entertaining Mr. Sloane, Mr. Marmalade and Richard Greenberg’s The Dazzle (Roundabout Theater), John Guare’s Landscape of the Body and the premiere of A Few Stout Individuals for the Signature Theatre Company, Kenneth Lonergan’s Lobby Hero (Playwrights Horizons) and This is Our Youth (New Group/Second Stage) and numerous productions for the Drama Department including As Thousands Cheer, As Bees in Honey Drown and Rude Entertainment. He has also done productions for San Francisco Opera, Santa Fe Opera, New York City Opera, Glimmerglass Opera, Scottish Opera, Houston Grand and the recent Orfeo Ed Euridice for the Metropolitan Opera directed by Mark Morris. Mr. Moyer was a recipient of the 2006 Obie for Sustained Excellence.
