Kelvin Roston, Jr. previously appeared at the Goodman in Crowns during the 2011/2012 Season. His Chicago credits include The Nativity and The St. James Infirmary with Congo Square Theatre Company; Those Sensational Soulful 60s; Nothin’ But The Blues and the title role in The Jackie Wilson Story at Black Ensemble Theater; Porgy and Bess and Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom at Court Theatre; The Old Settler at Writers’ Theatre; Pill Hill at eta Creative Arts Founda­tion (Black Theater Alliance Award for Best Performance in an Ensemble) and To Be Young, Gifted and Black at the Illinois Theater Center. Regional credits include Ruined, Death and the King’s Horseman, Before it Hits Home, Guys and Dolls, Raisin: The Musical and Dreamgirls at The Black Rep; The Last Days of Judas Iscariot at HotCity Theatre and Beowulf at Metro Theater Company, among many others.
