Alka Nayyar (Malini) Select credits include The Jungle Book (Goodman Theatre, Huntington Theatre); The Secret Garden (Court Theatre); A Disappearing Number (TimeLine Theatre); Merchant On Venice (Silk Road Rising); The Masrayana (Joseph Jefferson-nominated choreography); A Widow Of No Importance; A Nice Indian Boy (Rasaka Theatre); Great Expectations (Remy Bumppo/ Silk Road); Multitudes; A Passage To India (Vitalist Theatre); Bhangin’ It (La Jolla Playhouse) and A Christmas Carol (Central Square Theater, Hanover Theatre). A University of Chicago alumnus and a PR consultant for nonprofits, she also promotes South Asian cultural awareness and teaches Indian dance as Co-Artistic Director of Chicago’s Chitrahar Cultural Academy and through Old Town School of Folk Music.
