A Christmas Carol’s message of goodwill toward others continues off the stage, in Goodman Theatre’s new “Tiny Tim Drive.”
Held in conjunction with the 40th anniversary production of Chicago’s favorite holiday tradition, this new charitable initiative spotlights one service organization—selected by 10-year-old actor Paris Strickland, who portrays Tiny Tim—that audiences can support with contributions. The inaugural chosen service organization is one from which Ms. Strickland and her family have personally benefitted: Candlelighters NYC, which supports families who travel to New York City for pediatric cancer treatment.
Three ways to support the Tiny Tim Drive:
- Donate a Walgreens/Duane Reade gift card (in any amount) in the Goodman Lobby (at performances on December 28 and 29)
- Contribute online at CandleLightersNYC.org/Tiny-Tim-Drive (between December 26, 2017 – January 2, 2018)
- Contribute by mail (Candlelighters, NYC c/o Barbara Zobian; 345 East 73rd Street, apt 2L; New York , NY 10021)
The “Tiny Tim Drive” is part of the Arts in Action series, which exemplifies Goodman Theatre’s commitment as a not-for-profit artistic and community organization distinguished by the quality and scope of its artistic programming and civic engagement.
