Arts in Action: Calligraphy Workshop

Saturday, November 11 | 5pm
in the Alice Center at Goodman Theatre

Join us for this special workshop with Artist in Residence, Ahmad Abdulrazzaq, who will teach participants traditional Arabic calligraphy techniques. Participants will have the opportunity to write a number of different words and phrases, including the welcome message, “Everyone is welcome here.”

Ahmad Abdulrazzaq is an Iraqi artist currently living in Chicago. His work is featured onstage in our production of Yasmina's Necklace, and pieces are available for purchase in the lobby during the run, while supplies last. Ahmad says, “I always try in my painting to show love and peace among all faiths, because we share the same humanity. Art is the best way to deliver love letters to the world.”

This workshop is all-inclusive (supplies included) and appropriate for all age groups.
