  • The Jungle Book is obviously an extremely demanding physical production and I was very impressed with the actors' strong, vibrant performances, especially Andre De Shields, Kevin Carolan, and Larry Yando. The musicians were also fantastic and the Indian music enchanting, though the songs weren't worthy of all this talent and beautiful visuals. The show should be a little shorter: there was a strong first act, but outside of Andre De Shields and some dance numbers, the storyline in most of the second act didn't hold my interest. The stakes didn’t seem that high and it seemed long. The second act seemed to want more Kipling and less Disney to give it more punch and vigor.
