Target Field Trip Grants

Apply for Funding for Our School Matinee Series

It’s become increasingly difficult for schools to fund learning opportunities outside the classroom. To help them out, Target launched Field Trip Grants in 2007. Since then, they have made it possible for millions of students to go on a field trip. As part of the program, Target stores award Field Trip Grants to K-12 schools nationwide. Each grant is valued up to $700. Target accepts grant applications between noon CST Aug. 1, 2017 and 11:59 p.m. CT Oct. 1, 2017.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: May I participate in the program by myself?

A: No. We require two to three teachers to participate from each school to ensure continuity from one year to the next.

Q: Do I need to have a non-humanities teacher in my team to apply?

A: Yes, we encourage such collaborations and will give preference to schools that include a non-humanities teacher.

Q: What shows will returning schools see this year?

A: All returning schools will see a combination of Yasmina's Necklace, A Christmas Carol, Blind Date, and An Enemy of the People. Show assignments will be given based on seniority as space allows.
