Ralph Zito most recently collaborated with the Goodman on King Lear during the 2006/2007 Season. Mr. Zito’s Broadway credits include Awake and Sing!, The Light in the Piazza and The Herbal Bed. Off-Broadway credits include Mrs. Klein, The Fiery Furnace, Tongue of a Bird and The Merchant of Venice at New York Shakespeare Festival; The Time of the Cuckoo at Lincoln Center Theater; The Women’s Project’s Birdy; The Model Apartment at Primary Stages; The Pitchfork Disney at Blue Light Theatre Company; SLAVS! at New York Theatre Workshop; and The African Company Presents Richard III at The Acting Company. Other credits include Othello, Lorenzaccio, The Silent Woman, The Duchess of Malfi, The Two Gentlemen of Verona, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Twelfth Night, Henry VI, Henry V, Coriolanus, The Tempest, Fuente Ovejuna and Mary Stuart at Shakespeare Theatre Company, where he was associate vocal consultant from 1988 to 1992. His other credits include productions at McCarter Theatre, Arena Stage, Centerstage, Hartford Stage, Alley Theatre, Great Lakes Theater Festival, Long Wharf Theater and Old Globe Theatre. Mr. Zito serves on the board of directors of the American Society for the Alexander Technique (AmSAT). He teaches at The Juilliard School Drama Division and was an artistic associate at Chautauqua Conservatory Theater Company from 1996 to 2004. Mr. Zito trained at Harvard University, The Juilliard School and the American Center for the Alexander Technique.
