Geoff Packard returns to the Goodman, where he previously appeared in the title role in Candide (Jeff awards for Best Actor in a Musical and Best Large Musical) during the 2010/2011 Season. Other Chicago-area credits include Angels in America: Millennium Approaches and Perestroika at Court Theatre and Mary Zimmerman’s Metamorphoses at Lookingglass Theatre Company. He has appeared on Broadway in Rock of Ages and The Phantom of the Opera and in the national tours of Wicked and The Phantom of the Opera. Regional credits include Metamorphoses at Arena Stage; Candide at the Shakespeare Theatre Company in Washington, DC (Helen Hayes Award) and the Huntington Theatre Company (IRNE Award); Liberty Smith and Shenandoah at Ford’s Theatre; Winesburg, Ohio at Kansas City Repertory Theatre and Where's Charley? at Goodspeed Opera House. He has appeared in concerts with the Detroit Symphony, the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra and the Toronto Symphony Orchestra. Recordings include his debut EP of original songs, Fairy Tales and Fortunes, available on iTunes. He holds a BFA from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music.
