    We love a good open mic night, but while we’re apart, the Goodman Youth Arts Council—a group of young Chicagoland artists working to instill solidarity among creatives—are inviting all young artists to join their Home-In Mic.     Pre-COVID-19, playwright Rebecca Gilman and director Sydney Chatman (a former Goodman Maggio Fellow) were working to bring us Stateville Voices, a presentation of short plays written by inmates at Stateville Correctional Center as part of Northwestern University’s Prison Education Program. The Chicago Tribune reports. 

    As the Illinois stay-at-home order continues, Executive Director Roche Schulfer spoke with the Wall Street Journal about the important communal experience of theater.
