Based on Goodman Theatre’s STEM program ‘Stage Chemistry’, teachers will be introduced to the STEM principles in technical theatre through this interactive workshop. Join us in conducting hands-on experiments inspired by Goodman Theatre productions, like the science of simple machines for A Christmas Carol, and “The Soundproof Box”, an experiment based on the soundproofing of the Goodman’s Owen Theatre. From lesson planning to execution, we’ll walk through how to create an engaging STEM lesson from start to finish.
