Scott T. Barsotti is a playwright and performer originally from Pittsburgh, currently living in Chicago. Mr. Barsotti writes plays of all kinds, but emphasizes work in, or inspired by, the horror genre. His plays include The Revenants, Kill Me, Jet Black Chevrolet, Brewed, Jagoff, Facing Angela and adaptations of Robert Louis Stevenson’s The Body Snatcher and H.P. Lovecraft’s The Shadow Over Innsmouth. He is a member of WildClaw Theatre, a Chicago company that specializes in horror theater and produces the annual Deathscribe Festival of Horror Radio Plays, which Mr. Barsotti helps to curate and produce. His plays have been performed all around Chicago and nationwide, produced and/or developed by WildClaw Theatre, Curious Theatre Branch, Lifeline Theatre, The Ruckus, Route 66 Theatre Company, Chicago Dramatists, Stage Left Theatre, The Side Project, Steep Theatre, Theatre Seven of Chicago (Non-Equity Jeff Award nomination for We Live Here), Tympanic Theatre, Happy Medium Theatre Company and The Visceral Company, among others. His plays have been seen at the New York International Fringe Festival and the Rhinoceros Theater Festival, as well as festivals produced by Sci-Fest Los Angeles, Collaboraction, American Theater Company and more, plus live events like the Chicago Comic and Entertainment Expo and the Paper Machete. He has an MFA in writing from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. He is a resident playwright at Chicago Dramatists and a member of the Dramatists Guild of America.
