Spenser Davis (Assistant Director) is an award-winning director, playwright and the current Michael Maggio Directing Fellow at Goodman Theatre. Most recently, he helmed his virtual play The Spin in both Chicago (Interrobang Theatre) and Austin, TX (Street Corner Arts). Other directing credits include Labyrinth, Plainclothes, At The Table, From White Plains, Mare and A Phase (Broken Nose Theatre); May the Road Rise Up and Adventures of Spirit Force Five (The Factory Theater); Golden Girls—Lockdown! (Hell in a Handbag) and Blue Stockings (Promethean Theatre), among others. His production of At The Table was named "One of Best of the Decade" by Storefront Rebellion and "One of the Year's Best" by the Chicago Tribune. Recent honors include the M. Elizabeth Osborn New Play Award, the Joseph Jefferson Award for Best Director, finalist for the Harold & Mimi Steinberg/ATCA New Play Award and the Elizabeth George Commission with South Coast Rep. He's the Director of Programming for Broken Nose Theatre and writer/director of the Amazon Prime short-form comedy series SQUID. He’s represented by William Morris Endeavor.
