Jess McLeod returns to the Goodman, where she previously directed the How To Catch Creation staged reading for the 2017 New Stages Festival and was the recipient of the 2016/2017 Michael Maggio Directing Fellowship. Chicago credits include work with Lyric Unlimited/Lyric Opera of Chicago, Victory Gardens Theater, Chicago Shakespeare Theater, The Gift Theatre, Porchlight Music Theatre, Strawdog Theatre Company, Haven Theatre, The House Theatre of Chicago, Steppenwolf Theatre Company NEXT UP, A Red Orchid Theatre and Northlight Theatre. New York credits include work by Joyce Carol Oates, Rachel Axler, Harrison David Rivers and The Unauthorized Musicology of Ben Folds at the New York Musical Theatre Festival, where she served as director of programming from 2005-2008. McLeod obtained an MFA from Northwestern University and currently serves as the resident director of Broadway in Chicago’s Hamilton.
