LANISE ANTOINE SHELLEY previously appeared at the Goodman in workshops of The Convert and Safe House and in short films for stop. reset. Chicago credits include Short Shakespeare! Macbeth, A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Short Shakespeare! The Comedy of Errors (Chicago Shakespeare Theater) and The Tempest (The Back Room Shakespeare Project). Regional credits include work with American Repertory Theatre, Indiana Repertory Theater, Book-It Repertory Theater, Seattle Repertory Theater, Outside the Wire and Shakespeare Santa Cruz. She was a resident company member for five years at Milwaukee Repertory Theater, where credits include Eurydice, The Night is a Child, The Glass Menagerie, Gem of the Ocean, King Lear, Intimate Apparel, Sueno, …Young Lady From Rwanda, Lady Windermere’s Fan, The Crucible and I Just Stopped By to See The Man. She was the Stratford Shakespeare Festival’s Chicago Fellow for 2016, appearing in Macbeth, All My Sons and Aeneid. Television and film credits include Chicago Fire, Empire and Discovery World. She received her MFA from American Repertory Theater/Moscow Art Theater School Institute at Harvard University, her BFA from Cornish College of the Arts and certificate from British American Drama Academy in Oxford, England.
