Jason Wells

Jason Wells most recently appeared at the Goodman in the Horton Foote One-Act Plays during the 2007/2008 Season. Mr. Wells’ Chicago credits include Side Man at Steppenwolf Theatre Company, a production which was reprised in Galway, Ireland, and Melbourne, Australia; Rain, River, Ice, Steam at Victory Gardens Theater; Monsters 2 and Monsters 3 at American Theater Company and numerous productions at Chicago Dramatists, including Mr. Happy, for which he won an After Dark Award. Mr. Wells also appeared in Moving Picture at the Williamstown Theatre Festival. Recent film credits include The Weather Man and The Watcher. He also appeared in the made-for-television films Evil Has a Face and In the Best Interest of the Children and the TV series Prison Break. He is also a playwright whose play Men of Tortuga premiered at Steppenwolf Theatre Company’s First Look Repertory of New Plays and enjoyed its world premiere production at the Asolo Repertory Theater. His newest play, Mendacious, was written on a Sloan Commission through Manhattan Theatre Club.
