Eugene Perry

Eugene Perry most recently appeared at the Goodman in Galileo Galilei during the 2001/2002 Season. He made his European debut in the Peter Sellars production of Don Giovanni in which he sang the title role in Vien­na, Paris and at the Pepsico Summerfare Festival in Purchase, New York (which was later telecast throughout the U.S. and Europe). Other notable engagements include the world premiere of Philip Glass’ Orphée with American Repertory Theatre, which was later seen at the Brooklyn Academy of Music; the world pre­miere of playwright John Guare’s Four Baboons Adoring the Sun at Lincoln Center; the American premiere of Bernd Alois Zimmerman’s Die Soldaten at New York City Opera; and the world premiere of John Adams’ The Death of Kling­hoffer at the Opera de la Monnaie in Brussels, which was subsequently pro­duced in Lyon, Vienna, San Francisco and at the Brooklyn Academy of Music.
