Erik Steele

Erik Steele most recently appeared at the Goodman in Pericles during the 2005/2006 Season. On Broadway, he performed in Tartuffe at the American Airlines Theatre; off-Broadway in Bloody Poetry at the Connelly and A Floating Roof at Chelsea Playhouse. He was a member of Mary Zimmerman’s original Pericles cast at Shakespeare Theatre Company in Washington, D.C. Other Shakespeare Theatre Company work includes A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Othello and the upcoming Love’s Labour’s Lost, which after its D.C. run will travel to the Royal Shakespeare Company in England. Additional regional credits include The Importance of Being Earnest and The Retreat From Moscow at the Repertory Theatre of St. Louis; The Mystery of Irma Vep at Berkeley Rep; The Invention of Love at the Guthrie; and Present Laughter at the Pioneer Theatre in Salt Lake City, along with shows at the Olney Theatre, Virginia Stage and the Hangar Theatre. He is a regular narrator for BBC Audiobooks America. He received a M.F.A. from New York University’s graduate acting program.
